When you hit that big orange button that says "Transmit Return Now" you have e-filed and there is no getting it back. So better be sure you have double and triple checked everything before you do it. The IRS will not be accepting or rejecting returns until January 29. Until then, even if you file, it will just sit on the server, waiting.
