What are you doing?   Why are you asking this question?   You provided no context, so we have to try to guess.

 

Are you getting ready to efile and referring to a 2020 AGI used to verify the efiling of your 2021 return?

 

Did you file a married joint return in 2020, and are you filing a married joint return in 2021?   On a joint return, both joint filers have the same total AGI.   For verifying a 2021 efile, you use the 2020 AGI from the original 2020 return, not an amended one.

 

What prompted this question?   Did you try to efile using the same total 2020 AGI for both of you and got an efile rejection?   That's usually what one tries first, but it doesn't always work.    If so, what is the rejection error code/message?   We can tell you what to try next.
