Does signing an AFFIDAVIT of support considered having an dependent ?

No, you must meet certain requirements to claim your child as a dependent on your tax return. In general, you have to furnish more than half of their support and they need to be under the age of 19 (under age 24 if a full-time student.) The fact that you had a support affidavit would not overrule the other requirements. You can read more about the requirements for claiming a dependent here:
