Question

Does Turbo Tax have another format that is more data entry style, rather than passive information style?

Online TT does not have Forms mode, if that is what you mean.  Only desktop (CD/download) TurboTax allows that.  And entering data directly to the forms will nullify the accuracy guarantee.   You need to go through the intereview screens with TT.

I'll provide clarification.  in online or desktop direct entry in the forms will invalidate TT guarantee.  As a matter of fact that the app may even prevent you from e-filing due to direct entry.     In the desktop app  there's step -by-step mode much like online.  there is also forms mode which allows you to make entries in worksheets that carry the info into the actual forms. this is not a violation.  I have always used desktop and forms mode.  And yes you can e-file.
