Does turbo tax mail your tax return to the feds or is it stictly e-filing

You can e-file by going to the FILE section and clicking the big orange button that says Transmit my return now" OR you can file by mail if you choose to. If you file by mail, YOU have to mail it yourself. TurboTax does not mail it for you. You have to print it, sign and date it in ink, and put it in an envelope.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
