Question

Does TurboTax automatically include the tax credit due to people who didn't receive some or all of the stimulus payments?

I received a reduced 1st stimulus (roughly $700, reduced because of my 2019 AGI was too high) and received no 2nd or 3rd stimulus $$. I think I should qualify for the credit related to this, but am unsure if it happens automatically or if I need to amend my return. I don't remember seeing any questions about this.

you were asked how much you received for each of the 1st two stimulus payments during the Federal Review section of turbo tax.

Look on Like 30 of your tax return - that is the additional Recovery Credit you are due,

the Recovery Credit is based on your 2020 tax return (income, filing status, dependents under 17 years old) LESS what you already received.

What was your 2020 Adjusted Gross Income? (line 11) you may not be eligible for anymore

It's semi-automatic.  You tell TT how much of the first and 2nd stimulus you received and TT calculates how much you are due based on your 2020 AGI.  The third stimulus ($1400)  is not part of your 2020 tax return.  The Recovery rebate credit (stimulus) amount you are due shows on line 30 of form 1040.
