Double filing of a return

In error, I attempted to file a return I had already filed.

After paying Turbo Tax by credit card I was told that

SS number had already filed for 2019. Did TT forward

the return, or did the process stop there?

Only one return can be filed per Social Security Number. The second one would get rejected when trying to file again.
