I downloaded to one computer and have my return mostly done. The information I need to complete the t/r is on a different computer in a different state. (I will not be returning any time soon to the first state. ) Will I be able to download/transfer the information already input to my second computer. I will only be filing one return. This is for the Premier individual product. If I can, how would I do it? Thank you.

You need to have the file ending in .tax2024 from the first computer to open in the new computer. Were you able to get the program downloaded and installed and Activated on the second computer? You can install Turbo Tax on 5 computers you own. You log into your Online account and download the program to the new computer.

Can someone copy the .tax2024 file to a usb flash drive and mail it to you? Probably not safe to email it.

If you are using the desktop download software, the tax return is stored only on your own hard drive. It is not stored online. You can save it to a flash drive if you need to use the software on another computer to work on it, and of course you will need to download the software to that other computer first.
