I have ask TurboTax employees several years in a row to add this feature.  The feature is the one where you can download from Broker websites the data for your Form 1099's.  In other words, the feature that is available for personal returns (Form 1040), I wish they would add it to the business software (Form 1065).  I have a simple investment partnership and I do not need to use Quick Books.  I have said that I would even pay extra to have the feature in my annual purchase of the TurboTax business  (Form 1065).

I wish I could get an explanation as to why this feature has not been made available to the TurboTax Business Tax Return software.  I hope someone will respond to my question.  Thanks, Gary

The simple answer is that the feature has not been implemented due to the low volume of sales of the Business edition as compared to the personal editions of TurboTax. Further, there is not exactly an overwhelming amount of competition in this particular space (consumer-level software to prepare income tax returns for entities).

Consequently, resources are not going to be devoted to add a feature or features which do not result in a significant increase in sales. It really is that simple, unfortunate as it may be.
