E-file "Failed-Validation"

When I try to e-file I get a "Failed Validation" message.  Also said there is an update for this error - go to the online menu and check for updates and that this is a technical glitch.

 

There are no updates available that I can find.  Updates are usually available when I sign into the tax program.   I haven't had any updates in several days.  

 

Please help me finish my tax return.

    Which version are you using?  Windows or Mac?

    I need the manual update for 2021 Home and Business as I am having the same problems as everyone else on multiple posts.

    I followed the "fix" steps for manually updating and continued to get the same error.  As such, it is not transmitting my returns!  Please help!

    What is the error you are currently getting, as well as which part of the return are you getting the error? @thewehrman

    I called the 800# and they said the only option is to uninstall and reinstall, I only installed it once and now I get an error that says That License Code has already been associate with this account Please Check the Account for a different License Code

    Wow.... THAT and losing all my info is why I'm afraid to uninstall and reinstall.  I'm so frustrated. I've also already paid to efile my state taxes...will I lose that money also??

    This is so frustrating. I have never had issues transmitting my taxes until this year. I had experienced install issues in the beginning and now this! I have used turbo tax for 20 years.  I have deleted cookies, restarted, waited 24 hours and still receive this message

    It sounds like you are using the online version of Turbo Tax vs the desktop which is what the OP's question was regarding; what is the specific error message that you are receiving? @Jenlarrabee.

    I purchased deluxe online. 

    I ended up uninstall and reinstall, now if appears I don’t have the state option now. 

    im running install again but I don’t have time for this…terrible experience this year.

    I tried Uninstalling and reinstalling the software but it didn't work. Please let me know how to resolve this issue because I paid for the software and it appears to be a software issue. Very frustrating when you get reach out to a live person by phone.

    I had the same problem with Turbo Tax 2023.  As soon as I uninstalled my 2022 version, E-File worked immediately.
