I E-Filed my 2024 return and received a confirmation code.  Now the IRS doesn't seem to know about it.  Any issues with E-Filing or where do I go from here??

I tried entering my info on the IRS website and go a msg that the info "did not match their records".

Thx,  David Hoffmeyer

Here's how you can check: How to Check your E-file Status

How long ago did you e-file?   You need to wait 24-48 hours after acceptance to start checking on the IRS refund site.

    https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

Sometimes people get confused by the “summary” given by TurboTax and use the wrong amount for the federal refund.  Make sure you are only using the federal refund amount, and not an amount that combined your federal and state refunds.

Your federal refund amount is on line 35a of your Form 1040

You don't get a "confirmation code" when you e-file. You get an email saying that your tax return was sent (transmitted). Then sometime later you get another email telling you that your tax return was accepted (or rejected). Did you get either of those emails?

Is the confirmation code for paying your TurboTax fees? Paying the fees does not file your tax return. You have to continue through the e-filing screens until you get to the screen with a big orange button that says "Transmit my returns now," and click that button. Did you do that?

    Yes - I thought I had completed the E-File process when I received the "E-File Pin #".
