E-File Transmission Problem

I finished my taxes, then clicked the button for E-file transmission as I do ever year. However, the transmission fails:

Your transmission didn't go through
We could not e-file your return for the following reason:
Tax Year 2021 transmissions are not available.

There may be forms required for your state tax return that aren't available yet. If that is the case, the program will not let you e-file. You can check the status of the specific forms needed for your state in the link below.

If you find that your state forms are not available yet, you can go ahead and file your federal return and come back to file the state once the forms are ready. Please see Can I file my federal taxes now and skip my state for later?
