Last year I was not able to E-file my taxes.  I had to file the taxes through the mail.

Why would the taxes e-filed not be accepted?

There are multiple reasons that a return would be rejected.  Typically there is a data mismatch between the government data and what was filed, a dependent that's already been claimed, or some other situation beyond your control that prevents your return from being e-filed required to be filled by paper.
