Efile transmission not going through, error code 2

Ugh...  This is a MAJOR PROBLEM for INTUITTURBO TAX platform.  I have been utilizing the Turbo Tax download for windows of Federal and State for YEARS!  This has been a NIGHTMARE.  Keep in mind a few things:

  • Nothing was scanned and uploaded - I was utilizing Turbo Tax forms and compiling the information
  • Using Windows 11 and it is COMPLETELY updated
  • Security Settings are set to default
  • Turbo Tax is COMPLETELY updated
  • I was filing my personal taxes and my child's taxes

On the 15th I spent over 4 hours with support to resolve the error code 2 issue starting at 8pm and rolling past midnight into the wee hours of the 16th.  The result = no resolution.  I waited about an hour and FINALLY got to send mine.  Okay, this should work right????  On to my child's tax return and.....  NOPE, error code 2.  WTH!!!

The good news is they are getting a refund from the fed and state - the BAD NEWS is that I have been trying to transmit this every day since Tuesday and am still getting the same !@#$% error!  Intuit needs to get this resolved.

Any other ideas except for mailing them in, burning the TurboTax software, and utilizing H&RBlock software for next year?

    Since everyone waits until the last minute of the last day to SUBMIT, the TurboTax servers get overloaded.

    This seems to be unique to TurboTax, probably because it is the most commonly used tax software.
