eFiling amended 1040X in 2023 -- bizarre looping behavior

Hi everyone --

Maybe you come across this: I amended my 2023 return in Turbotax Desktop for Mac and eFiled it after the original return was fully processed by the IRS.

Now the state return has been fully amended, transmitted and accepted yet the federal one wasn't even transmitted showing "Transmission Trouble -- Please try again".

When I "try again" it says that no efile eligible returns were found.

Checking the original email I received from Turbotax, it says it only transmitted the state return. So the question now is how do I convince it to send 180+ pages electronically for the federal amendment?...

Are you certain the Federal didn't get filed? You can check that your return was received by the taxing authority using these instructions: Check the Electronic Postmark of your Return. Pay close attention to the separate lines for Federal and State. They are separate statuses.
