EIC Question

My daughter turned 24 in 2021, so she is considered independent on her taxes.  She only made ~$4200 in 2021.  Turbotax asked if she made more money in 2019 and if so the software calculates her EIC credit higher.  The question I have is that in 2019 she was a dependent on my taxes.  Is she still considered eligible for this additional EIC credit?

If so, I look at her 2019 taxes and I find that her adjusted gross income was $5066 but somehow Turbotax pulled in $5040 as her income.  The only difference I can find is $25 taxable interest and maybe that is the difference.  Can you help?

Your daughter is filing an independent return for 2021, and her 2019 earned income is higher, I don't see any reason why she cannot use her 2019 earned income to claim the EIC on her 2021 return.
