employer form 1099 "e-file processing"

Hi. Using "Quick Employer Forms" I created a simple 1099 for a contractor. I submitted it to the IRS and under status it's marked in orange "e-file processing". It's been that way for nearly an hour. Is this normal? Does it mean that we are waiting on the IRS or is there some software hick-up?

Thanks

Yes, that is normal. It can take several days for the IRS to accept e-filed information forms.

You are responsible for making sure the form is submitted by January 31 and that the recipient is mailed or given the form by that date.

You aren't responsible for making sure it is accepted before the deadline.

I'm so happy to see that I am not the only one with this issue.  However, It has been over 20 hours since I did my efile.  I actually sent it on January 31 but when I hover over the red/orange wording of E-file processing it says it was sent to the IRS on Feb 1.  I logged out and back in because I thought it may have been hung up but that should not have affected the e-file.  So I do not understand why it would show Feb 1 as the e-file date.
