Can I get the $1,500 credit or refund for working during the pandemic

What $1500 credit are you referring to?   There is no such federal credit.   If your state has a credit for working during the pandemic it will be on your state return.

 

 

And....did you receive a W-2 or a 1099NEC?  If your employer did not withhold tax and your W-2 box 2 or box 17 is blank you need to change your withholding with the employer going forward.

 

If you received a 1099NEC you worked as an independent contractor and you will be paying self-employment tax for Social Security and Medicare as well as ordinary income tax.
