To correct a mis-entered Federal ID number you must return to the "Income & Expenses" tab.  Scroll down to the "Job (W2)" topic to correct a W2 form or the "Retirement and Social Security" topic for 1099-R forms.  "Edit" the applicable form and type over (delete/reenter) the information.
