Entering Info on ESPP sale from form 3922

Hi,

On the 1099-B form my ESPP sales are separated into 2 sales. For example, a sale of 100.55 is separated in my Fidelity 1099-B into a sale of 100 and a sale of 0.55. When I go to enter in the ESPP information for the sale from my 3922 form the information is 1 sale, or 100.55. My question is, when I'm entering the form 3922 information into the sale of 0.55 section, would box 6 "No of shares transferred" still be the 3922 amount of 100.55 or would I change this to the portion I am entering for?

Hoping this makes sense to someone..

Thanks

Use the 1099-B as your guiding light. You want the 1099-B to be inputted as accurately  as possible. This means you would enter the 2 sales on the 1099-B.

1099-B         split up the 3922      you have all the values in price per share, calculator!

    Sale 100          xfer  100

    Sale 0.55         xfer  0.55

The shares were transferred to match the sale.

At the end of the day, as long as the tax consequences are correct, all is well.
