Error check on W-2 says there are too many characters in the employer business address box.  Correction is not being allowed even though the information IS correct.  Circular error check action is preventing printing of the W-2 although all essential information is OK.  How do I get around this roadblock to printing and sending W-2 to employee?

Simply shorten the employer address to what the software will accept even if it is not exactly what is on the W2. The IRS really doesn't care a lot about what you enter for the name and address of the employer as long as you have the employer identification number correct (EIN).
