Turbo Tax 2021Desktop. Getting error code 214. "Forms missing..." Click on error window and program closes. I was just working on this return yesterday. I can see that the return is there but as soon as I open the file it goes to open the return and I get the error code. I've been reading different suggestions but can keep the file open. I'm trying to complete the last 4 years as I have cancer and was not able to do them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Two things to try...but use both in succession.

Close TTX, then

1) rt-click on the 2021 TTX startup icon and select "Run as Administrator"

Once started:
2) go to the top menu, select the "Online" popup/pulldown menu and select "Check for Updates", and run any updates.

Then try to open that file.
