Error code 70001

Kept getting error code 70001 which says TT is already running under another account.  Spent 2 days on phone with techs, no resolution. Finally in this forum someone suggested updating Microsoft on my computer. Bingo...fixed the issue. Don't know it this will work for everyone, but it certainly relieved my frustration!

So I had loaded and use Turbo Tax 2021 Deluxe 2 times with no problem.  The third time I got the dreaded error code.  I tried everything to no avail.  I had decided I would have to buy another but then my computer told me it was time the periodic upgrades before shutting down.  I allowed the upgrades and behold Turbo Tax was able to load after that!!  try upgrading!
