Question

Error message HMM, looks like we've hit a snag

In the downloaded version of TurboTax Home and Business I can not select update to add Social Security Amounts. There seems to be a glitch!!! It says We recommend you revisit the last topic you were working on. Went back and deleted my 1099-DIV. Still same error message! Skipped SS and moved on to add pension info. Go back to work on Social Security and I get the same message!!! So it has to be an issue with SS and NOT the last topic I was working on!

Please advise and fix ASAP!!

First, was this on the Mac or Windows desktop product?

Please navigate to Personal Income->Retirement Plans and Social Security->Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099), and click on Start or Update (or whatever). Note that exact wording may vary from product to product.

Is this what you were trying to do?

In the Windows desktop, have you tried doing a Search for "SSA 1099" (without the double quotes)?

In the Mac desktop, have you gone to Topic List (it may be under Tools), and scrolled to Income->Retirement Distributions->Social Security Benefits?

You are missing the point.  The program is stuck in a loop and one cannot enter any more data.

I am seeing the same error on Deluxe version when trying to enter Personal Property tax information.  Makes no difference if I enter forms myself or use the guided method.
