I purchased the same version I do every year which is for Windows/Mac. I purchased a new Chromebook recently to replace my old laptop. I was unaware that turbotax download/software was not compatible with ChromeOS until I tried the download attempt. Now I found out I can only use the online version with my laptop. Is there a way I can exchange the download software I paid for and get the online version since I am stuck not able to use it otherwise.

    You will not be able to use desktop software on a Chromebook.   Seek a refund for the download, and then use online TurboTax.   You cannot pay for online TT using the license code.

    You can contact TurboTax support to request an exchange for the online version, explaining your Chromebook compatibility issue. They typically allow this if the desktop version hasn't been used.
