F-1 student resident alien (stayed in the U.S. for more than 5 years) . I attended an university in NY and did a summer internship in CA. Am I consider as NYS resident?

F-1 student resident alien (stayed in the U.S. for more than 5 years) . I attended an university in NY and did a summer internship in CA. Am I considered as NYS resident and pay NYS income tax for my internship income? The company has already withhold CA income tax.

Please review the following information regarding NYS residency.  I would imagine your domicile is your home country.  However if you maintain a permanent place of abode in New York State for more than 11 months of the year and spend 184 days or more in New York State during the tax year you are a resident. Note: Any part of a day is a day for this purpose.
