Federal form 1040 - Tax Smart Worksheet
Does anyone where in TurboTax I can see the breakdown of row A (Tax) on the Tax Smart Worksheet ? This is on the Federal form 1040 and below line 15.
On the Tax Smart Worksheet, the seven checkboxes below line A show you how the amount on line A was calculated. One of the seven boxes is checked, indicating which method was used to calculate the tax. For box 1 or 2 there is no "breakdown" or underlying detail. They just follow the instructions for the Tax Table or the Tax Computation Worksheet in the IRS instructions for Form 1040. For any of the other boxes, 3 through 7, you have to look at the specified schedule, form, or worksheet to see the details of the calculation.
