Federal Id on my 1098-DIV is[removed], but Turbo tax will not accept that number

Federal Id on my 1098-DIV is [removed], but Turbo tax will not accept that number for e-file. The company is German.

If you enter the 1099 DIV there is not even a spot for a payer's ID.

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to Federal Taxes.
  3. Go to Wages and Income.
  4. Scroll down to Interest & Dividends 
  5. Go to Dividends on 1099-DIV.
  6. Delete the 1099 DIV that you previously entered.
  7. On the same page Add a Payer
  8. Select I'll type it myself.
