I keep getting the following message but cannot find where to fix it.

IND-516-02 - If Form 1040, 'PrimaryClaimAsDependentInd' is not checked, then the Primary SSN must not be the same as a Dependent SSN on another return filed for the same tax year.

This rejection code indicates someone has filed a return claiming you as a dependent.  Normally, that is a parent.  However, it could also be someone fraudulently claiming a dependent using your social security number.

Finally, it could be you have mistyped your social security number.  Check this first.

If it is possible a parent has claimed you, check that option. If that is the case and you do not qualify as their dependent, they will need to amend their return to remove you from their return.  In the meantime, you will need to print and mail in your return.

On the other hand if you do qualify as a dependent you just need to check the box on your return indicating that you "Can be claimed as a dependent on someone else's return" in the "Personal Info" section.  You will be able to e-file under this scenario.

If your parents have not claimed you then you need to report the fraudulent filing.  You will need to print, sign and mail in your return along with a form 14039.  See the Tax Identity Theft question here.
