Question

Fiance and i own a home. Both on mortgage, payment from my account only, my SSN on tax form. Can one claim all, other none ? Or does it have to be split?

The person who paid the interest/tax/points would be the one who should deduct it. If you split the payments, then you could each deduct half since you are both on the mortgage.

got it, thanks. So we should claim the portion we paid? If one pays all then claim all. if one pays 75% then claim 75%?
