I need to file an extension. I am unemployed now for over 6 months and have no way to pay it. The only thing I can see to do now is to not file. Unless you have other option would like to hear that.

lick here to file an extension.  Remember an extension is just for extra time to file, not extra time to pay.  If you are going to owe anything, you will still need to pay by April 15th.   If you are unable to pay your taxes in full, you should still file either your return or an extension by April 15th, but you can apply for a payment plan from the IRS

If you owe taxes, the penalty for not filing on time AND not paying is much higher than the penalty for not paying.  You should file your return if you are ready, even if you can't pay.  You can select "I will pay by mail" so the IRS will not take a tax payment from your bank account.    If you are not ready to file either, get an extension, and file when you can.

Then, after you file your return, go to the IRS web site and look at options for payment plans.

Depending on the amount you owe and the time it will take to pay, getting on a payment plan will reduce the penalties for late payment.
