Hi

I just filed my federal & State tax return without 1099-INT. Earlier when I checked with my bank, they said my interest was less than $10 and will not receive any 1099-INT ($51.92), however I just received by mail this weekend. What should I do now?

Thanks & regards,

Jami

You'll need to amend your return to include this income.

According to IRS Topic No. 308 Amended Returns, you would:

If you discover an error after filing your return, you may need to amend your return…. do file an amended return if there's a change in your filing status, income, deductions, credits or tax liability.

Please see the TurboTax Help article How to amend (change or correct) a return you already filed for instruction on how to amend your previously-filed tax return.

Please note that Form 1040X, Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return, has a tentative release date of March 25, 2021 in TurboTax.
