Filed 2022 Fed Return. My spouse passed away 9/8/22. Needed to amend due to late info. Amemded rejected due to deceased SSN being locked. How do I escape this loop?

Turbo tax states my amended file ready for refile. But Fed still rejects. Can't determine how to talk to a real person with Turbo Tax. Do I need to contact IRS because of "locked" SSN?

When your filing is rejected, you have to print and mail it using US Mail or FEDEX.

refer to the instructions For Form 1040-X for how to assemble a paper 1040-X.

Do not include your old 1040 nor your revised 1040 because the Form 1040-X reflects any changes there and becomes your new tax return.
