Filing a tax return for a minor - no more option to create a separate User ID with my email?

I need to file a tax return for my child, who is still a minor and who only has to report unearned income from a custotial account that I have set up for him. The income is from equity trades.

In posts that I found it was stated to create an account with a user ID different from the parent, which can use the parent's email address nonetheless. However, I can't seem to find a way to do so. The sign up page requires email address and phone number, no option to start with a (new) user ID.

Do I need to create an entirely separate Intuit account with a separate email address and phone number, neither of which exists for my child?

You can use the same email for his return, but he needs his own account and user ID.

When you use online TurboTax software you get one return per fee.

Each return needs its own account and user ID. If you use the same account and user ID for a second return, the second one overwrites the first return and it is lost forever.

My point is that it does no longer seem to be possible to create another User ID with the same email address! The website flags the email address as already exists for an account, with not option to continue with it and a different User ID.
