My wife and I are filing married for the first time, and we both received 1099-G forms from our 2018 filings. When we input our information and get to personal income from the state refund for 2018, it asks us to itemize from last year (we both had itemized returns from 2018). I had my information pulled from turbotax 2018, should we add the information from her Schedule A 1040 form for 2018 to my information? TurboTax does not let us file two separate 1099-G forms even though we were single last year.

Yes, you can total the 1099G's.

Here is a TurboTax Article regarding 1099G Entry:  1099G Entry

Please note that when you try to enter a 2nd 1099G from the same Locality, this appears at the bottom of the TurboTax entry screen:

If both spouses received a refund from this state/locality, just add up the total amount and make one entry. To change your original entry to combine both spouse amounts, just Return to the Summary.
