Filing multiple tax returns

Can I use my downloaded Turbotax Premier version to file both my taxes and my parents, electronically. If so, are there any specific steps regarding accounts, etc. I need to make to do so?

If you have the CD/download then you get 5 free federal e-files; if you purchased Deluxe or higher with state software you can also e-file 5 state returns for the one specific state program that you download. (additional states are an extra fee). There is a fee to e-file each state return----you can avoid the state e-file fee if you print and mail the state returns.

Make sure you save each family member's return and name it so you do not get them mixed up. Save them as pdf's and as tax files.

When you use the CD/download you are not going to "log in" to a TT account. You launch the program from your own hard drive; your tax files will be stored on your own hard drive---they will not be stored online.
