1. Why did Intuit send me an email saying my state taxes are “almost done” even though I completed it and saved them, without filing?

2. I finished the taxes but did not file them. Upon opening up the taxes it says “State taxes filed.” How do I verify that because I don’t want to file twice?

3. When I file my federal tax return will the state return be automatically filed?

You can visit the link here to check your e-file status. This will tell you if your state and federal have already been e-filed and accepted by the IRS and state department of revenue. If you transmit your federal, usually your state will be transmitted to unless you specify otherwise. If you need further assistance, contact customer support here.
