My college daughter has $6000 earned income and $350 interest income and will fund her Roth. Does she need to file taxes in order to fund her Roth or can she fund her Roth and not file taxes because it's below the standard deduction?

You can contribute to an IRA, Traditional or Roth, without filing a tax return.
