Used TurboTax for filing married filing separate return with nonresident alien spouse. I told TurboTax my spouse had no income and wasn’t filing a return yet TurboTax asked me if my spouse will be filing using the standard deduction or itemizing. Why did they ask me this if she’s not working or filing a return I can’t get past this question - you have to answer and a choice Was Not None of the Above. What now???
