I have been rejected five times with the same response: your AGI or self selected pin from last year does not match. Code IND-031-04. I have entered the correct AGI. I did not file ONLINE last year, but paper copy so I HAD NO SELF SELECTED PIN FROM LAST YEAR. I thought filing online would be quick and easy this year since I have internet this year and did not last year but it is just as time consuming because I am in this "do-loop" and I do not want to wait 6 weeks or more for a new IRS P-PIN. The turbo tax asked for a pin and I made one up. Apparently that was not good enough! Please help me! thanks!

Your mailed 2019 federal tax return probably has not been processed by the IRS or it was processed in late 2020 or in 2021. In that case the IRS will not have your 2019 AGI in their database.

Enter a 0 (zero) for the 2019 AGI and e-file again.
