Question

For 2024 tax returns, when will Form 4684 be available in TurboTax? Form 4684 is already available at IRS.gov.

The IRS Form 4684 Casualties and Thefts Personal Use Property for tax year 2024 is estimated to be available for filing in TurboTax on 02/27/2025.

Go to this TurboTax website for forms availability - https://form-status.app.intuit.com/tax-forms-availability/formsavailability?albRedirect=true&product=Turbotax_online&bu=cg

WTH? This form is available in two tax competitor applications; it's been delayed twice in TurboTax.  I've used TurboTax for over 20 years and never filed this late.  Form 4684 is available from the IRS and I might have to file a paper return printing the paper forms off IRS.Gov.

It's time to consider another tax product next year.

same here!  and then to add insult to injury, we get all of these "experts" that chime in with link to forms inclussio date list...  I'm sure something sketch is going on.    Ive been a a software dev for 23 years, I could include that form in a couple days with my C**k tied behind my back, and they have teams of devs that cant get it done in almost 2.5 months and now need another week...

Either turbotax is intentionally holding back a percentage of their tax filiers to FK with the IRS and gain leverage...and using disaster victims to do so.

Or Intuit screwed up so hard  that the IRS trusts H&R Block with access and not Intuit.

I want to know why..    I challenge intuit to provide  a response explaining the ETHICAL reason as to why this form is not ready for subission....

(I am more than experienced and knowlegeble enough in software dev and taxes to be confident  that tomfoolery is afoot)

No need for an "Expert" to reply to this....99% of "Experts" on this forum are EXPERTS at arguing on forums and nothing more.      Unless the information you are about to respond with regarding form  4684 delays, came directly from an ituit employee, it is NOT helpful.
