Before you do that, does it make sense to you?  Box 17 is your state tax withholding.  Did you have tax withheld in more than one state? (more than one line being used, check box 15 for your state abbreviations).  Does either number or both numbers add up to what you think your state withholding was from your last pay stub?

Is one on the second row?  There are 2 rows for boxes 15-20.  Enter each row separately.  After you enter the first row you can add another.

No. Do not add them together if the withholding comes from two separate states. Click on +Add another state below Box 15 to add a second row of W-2 boxes for 15-17 and fill in information from your second state.

If you had state tax withheld from more than one state, you may have to file more than one state tax return and report income and withholding separately for each state.

If you put the correct state abbreviation in Box 15 and fill in the rest of the numbers, TurboTax will carry you W-2 information to the right state.
