Question

For selling stocks I am requested to upgrade. Federal tax fees $199 + state tax $64

Last year I filed with Intuit turbotax which was great experience and was able to close with Delux membership overall $130

This year I am getting around $264 to file tax. Is there a way I could ge a discount ? I tried with wealthfront but still its coming around $230.

Any help to align with Delux membership which was a good deal. Do we have Delux membership this year ? or overall cost has been bumpedup for 2025 ?

To see your fees, click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Then click on Tools. You will see My Fees in the center of the screen.

I tried downgrade and continue tax filing. When it comes to review and then file. again it stops saying. For current basic you cannot file the tax because you sold your stocks. you need to upgrade to apply. Can you look into this why its charging so much for me. ?

Basic and deluxe versions do not handle stock sales. You need the  Premier version to do this. TT sets their fees based on the complexity of the return. The more complex the return the more tax schedules are required to compete the return and the more expensive it will cost.
