For some reason, my return changed. It’s now a little over $300 less? It was saying it was going to be $404, but now only $48? I need help

Generally, refunds or taxes due can change with every addition on your return. What you see after you input your first item will typically not be the final result. Since we cannot see your return, you can compare your return to last year's and do a line-by-line comparison of what changed. You should also go over everything you entered on your 2021 return to ensure that it was inputted correctly. 

To preview your return, please follow these steps:

1. Open your return.
2. Click on Tax Tools on the left hand side.
3. Click on Tools.
4. Click on View Tax Summary.
5. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left hand side.
6. Look at your 1040.
