My 1099-B has box 1d but no 1e. What should I put in box 1e?

    Enter your cost basis which is what you paid for the asset plus any reinvested dividends and interest.

    Thanks.. Since it was stock we were given during a demutualization and we did not pay anything, I will enter zero for the cost basis, correct?
