Running TT Premier desktop 2022. All updates done. When I run error check on Federal I get a 1099-K error message. "Form 1099-K error message: Form 1099-K: Link to Sch D worksheet links to the same copy of this worksheet as another copy of Form 1099-K. Select a unique copy of the worksheet for each Form 1099-K."

I sold personal items on eBay and received a 1099-K. I entered in the 1099-K info. TT Premier Desktop instructed me to then list each personal item sold and cost so that the items sold at a loss (ALL) offset the eBay 1099-K. The listed items sold populated on Form 1099-B as capital asset sales and then auto-populated on the Sch D. I only have one 1099-K from eBay. When I run the error check the error highlights the Form 1099-K worksheet for Ebay and shows a RED "eBay" font under Schedule D in Box 1. When I click on the red Ebay it opens a list of Form 1099-B worksheets asking me to select an existing worksheet and I select the Form 1099-B worksheet for Ebay (the sales items listed). Error won't resolve. Please advise.

Have you created one 1099-B worksheet to equal the 1099-K or more than one 1099-B worksheet? It sounds like there are multiple 1099-B worksheets.

The total of the proceeds column will equal the total of the IRS form 1099-K or the software will give you an out of balance error message.

You may elect to delete the entries and start over.

Remove the 1099-K by clicking the delete trashcan to the right of the IRS form 099-K.

Remove 1099-B worksheet by clicking Delete to the right of the 1099-B worksheet.

Last year was another form that had an issue at the review step. This year, it's ebay 1099k. Next year probably another one. Software needs improvement.
