Form 6251 and capital loss carryover
Hello all,
I am using turbotax for the first time.
When I am entering details for capital loss carryover I have approximately 17,000$ loss carryover from 2023.
In turbotax I entered those details and the there is a minimum $3000 which can be considered for current year tax.
But turbotax instead shows 14000 carry over loss used in 2024 and I am not able to understand this.
Also I used to file with accountant and don’t think I have form 6251, but turbotax is asking for it, what shall I do for that?
