Form 8283

How to include this form 8283 using TT online version. I could not figure out, when typing the form number, I was getting instructions on how to fill it but not the link to the form and Cx got frustrated. Thank you.

You need to file Form 8283 to report information about noncash charitable contributions when the amount of their deduction for all noncash gifts is more than $500.

To enter your non-cash charitable contributions in TurboTax:

  1. Go to Deductions and Credits , click Start/Revisit next to Donations to Charity in 2024
  2. Choose Add Charity and enter the Charity (who you donated to) and choose the Type of Donation
  3. Answer all of the follow-up questions to enter your donation information
  4. Non-Cash Donations go on Form 8283
