form 8582 locked on MacOS

I am trying to enter prior year unallowed losses on form 8582. It is not accepting keyboard input.

I went through easystep and selected the property and under Carryovers selected "I have passive activity real estate losses carried over from a prior year". The entry on form 8582 is a single value total for all properties. So I double clicked and entered "Combined Unallowed Loss Carryforward". The value appeared on form 8582 correctly. Is this the right way to do it?

Yes. If the total is reported correctly then this is the right way to report it.
