Line 35 - a) Name of Foreign Entity- I put the name and it shows an error in RED

exact wording-

form 8938- 8938 cont stmt(Copy  1) : Foreign entity/counterparty information should not both be entered.

Line 7 and Line 8 cannot be entered for the same foreign asset.

    Go through the Form 8938's entire interview process. Just click continue through the interview until done without modifying anything. This has cleared this error in the past. To get to that section of the return.

     

    • Go to Other Tax Situations
    • Miscellaneous Tax Forms
    • Prepare a Report on Foreign Assets
